The ITSS team arrived to carry out a special inspection of the refractory bricks and castables for the rotary kiln. The inspection was carried out as a result of the contract signed in July this year for the supply of refractory bricks and castables for the rotary kiln, with the aim of ensuring that the quality of the products meets the high standards required for the smooth progress of the subsequent projects.
Careful Preparation for Professional Inspection
Before the arrival of the ITSS team, we actively prepared for the inspection by setting up a special reception team.
Set up a professional reception team
- The reception team is composed of key members from the Production Department, Quality Inspection Department, and Technical Department, and the duties of each member are clearly defined to ensure that the reception work is efficient and orderly.
- The team members held several preparatory meetings to sort out the inspection process, anticipate the possible concerns of the ITSS team and prepare detailed answers.

On the day of the inspection, guided by the factory technicians, the ITSS team went deep into the production line to get a full understanding of the refractory brick production process.
Raw material control: the source of quality assurance
In the raw material warehouse, the technical supervisor picked up a piece of high alumina bauxite raw material and introduced it in detail.
- Raw material selection standard:“The alumina content of the high alumina bauxite we choose is stable at more than 88%, and the impurity content is strictly controlled within 3%, which is the basis for guaranteeing the quality of refractory bricks.”
- Supplier management: We have established long-term cooperative relationship with domestic top raw material suppliers, and regularly evaluate the suppliers to ensure the stable quality of raw materials.
- Factory inspection process: each batch of raw materials into the factory need to carry out chemical analysis, physical properties testing, only fully comply with the standards can be put into production.

In view of the key indexes and control links of the products used in the companies belonging to the ITSS team, the technicians share the knowledge of the field application of non-shape refractory materials with practical cases.
- Iron and steel plant blast furnace trench application: In the application of iron and steel plant blast furnace trench, the service life of low cement castable produced by the factory was extended from 6 months to 9 months, which reduced the maintenance cost of the customer.
- Cement rotary kiln application: Sharing the experience of using refractory bricks in cement rotary kiln, the service life and stability of the bricks were improved by optimizing the construction process.
- Customer Feedback: Showcased some of the customer’s positive feedback on the use of the product, which strengthened the ITSS team’s confidence in the product.
